2nd Straight All-Star Apperance

camp-boogieIn his second straight year selected to the NBA All-Star team, DeMarcus Cousins solidified his place among the NBA’s elite throughout the entire All-Star Weekend. The 6th year center took center stage on All Star Saturday night as he dazzled the crowd during his first appearance in the ‘Skills Challenge’. With a great showing in the first round, DeMarcus beat fellow UK alum Anthony Davis to advance to the semi-final of the competition. In the semi-finals DeMarcus narrowly lost to another fellow UK alum, Karl Anthony-Towns who eventually went on to win the competition.

On Sunday, DeMarcus had the opportunity to participate in the All Star game and showcase his versatile game among the game’s best. DeMarcus entered the game in the second quarter and quickly sank his first 3 pointer. He finished off the quarter with 9 points on an array of drives, alley-oops and dunks and filled out the stat sheet with 4 boards and 1 assist. DeMarcus is undoubtedly the top center in the NBA and will remain a fixture in the All Star games for years to come.
